It was a fine Sunday afternoon when we fetch my dear mother-in-love este, mother –in-law from the airport. The first thing that came to her mind is to go to a nice restaurant along Manila Bay. When we went around the CCP complex, we were enticed by the location of Dencio’s for it’s accessibility at the baywalk going to the break waters and the view it has of Manila Bay.

It was almost 2:00pm then and we haven’t eaten our lunch yet. That was the reason why we were in a hurry for our orders. It took us not so long before our orders came out straight from the kitchen. We ordered for sizzlings of different kind and the entourage came out:

Last of the sizzling that came out was our all time favorite specially when you mention Decio’s; it is their sizzling pork sisig.

This is the part of the pork that really is so tasty that made is so delicious plus the technique in preparing. You have to grill the pork face and ears before you chop it into small pieces. The mixture of the spices plus the egg made this truly palatable.

Next is my favorite chicken barbeque. I was informed by a friend that Dencio’s chicken barbeque is tasty. It was indeed exactly what he said. It is not only about the tasty marinate of the meat by the tender and right timing of grilling that made this a stunning dish.

Too much of pork needs also balance. For the next order, we had the pinakbet. This dish is one of my favorite vegetable dish. I can say is that Dencio’s knows how to prepare pinakbet the way Ilocanos do. The vegetables were still crunchy and the sauce mixture was just fishingly great!!!

Another favorite of mine was Liempo. Every time I see this is the menu, it magnetized me to take an order. Their Liempo did not disappointed me. It goes well with the “atchara” or “pickled papaya”.

To sum it all, we had sinigang instead. This dish is one of my comfort food ever since my taste gave its preference. Hehe!!! Rapsa talaga ang sinigang.

This feast was just about right on a Sunday afternoon. The combination of fine food, good place, and with your love ones truly makes a lunch amazing. We went home with our belly full and full of satisfaction from Dencio’s. I’m glad that they always meet my expectation every time I pay them a visit specially this branch along the beautiful CCP complex of Manila.

Pampanga is well know for good food and that is what I experienced when I went to Mijicano’s grill.  Their Chicken barbeque has always been a terrific treat to everyone.  This one of a kind, heavily marinated and tasty chicken barbeque will surely introduce you to a new level of flavor of what a chicken barbeque should be.  Mexico, Pampanga is my first job assignment as a telecom engineer and after office, I would always treat myself to fantastic food.  Kapampangan are very good in doing marinates and grilling and they have always kept their talent even to these days. 

You may taste the chicken barbeque of Mejicano’s Grill at Robinson Mexico, Pampanga near the San Fernando Gate of the Mall.  When driving North or going to Sibuc, I suggest you drop by Robinsons Mexico and treat yourself to this wonderful chicken barbeque of Mejicano’s Grill.

When you drive along AS Fortuna at Mandaue City, You will be amaze that there is this barbeque house that is full of people. Sometimes, you have to wait for your turn at the parking and at the grill point to taste their famous Chichen Inasal.  It is the Inasal and barbeque of Matias Barbeque.  The place is always full house during lunch and dinner. There reason, their chicken inasal and barbeque is very delicious. If you are going to observe their restaurant closely, you will notice that it is the frontage of their house.  The barbeque and Inasal are the reason why the frontage was converted into a dinning place.

When in Mandaue city, Cebu, don’t miss this opportunity to drop by Matias Barbeque.  The signage is very small, but you will notice that it is full of people.  The location is along AS Fortuna near H. Cortes st. The service is excellent. The food is great. Actually, my friend and I stayed thery up to 10pm drinking and there were still people like us who drunk after dining and the “pulutan” is still chicken inasal.
