Karling’s Barbeque

One of the best barbeque that I found is in Taytay Rizal. I tried already plenty of barbeques but only few has perfect the art of marinating and grilling.  It was at Daisy store that I found this piece of jewel in the Taytay.

The master griller is Karling. He knows the right timing of grilling, amount of heat and proper marinate to create a barbeque masterpiece. .  It also goes very well with their prepared condiments of spicy vinegar, mixed with soy, onions, tomatoes and chilis.

The outcome was a soft and tender barbeque. I also tried the pork skin and it was also the same. They have plenty of barbeque to sell and it will be finished before the 8:00pm.  People just come and go. Plenty of reservations were made. Just to make sure that they will have it before the shop closes.

Karling barbeque is situated in front of Daisy Store along L. Woods (near the church) in the heart of Taytay. I was brought my friend Andrew and introduced me to Karling himself.  He’s barbeque is now one of the culinary institution in his place.

When you are in Taytay, always drop by early at Daisy store to have their one of a kind barbeque that is so delicious. I cannot wait to go back to have it again and again.

Express Shabu Shabu

Express Shabu Shabu

Food carts everywhere!!! That is one thing that makes a quick meal at a reasonable price.  I came to see this one that serves shabu-shabu the fastest way through a food cart.  At far, I thought it was the stir fried noodles but when I came closer, it was shabu-shabu.  You have a choice if you want it all soup with viand or soup with noodles plus the viand.  There was also a number of choices to what viand you desire mostly are process seafoods.  If you want it spicy, they have a chili sauce readily available.  I was impressed with the idea and quality of the soup. It was delicious!!! Since it’s a food cart, do not expect much like the Shabu-Shabu that is served in the restaurants where there are plenty of meats to add and veggies. Overall, it was quite an experience and gratifying food trippin.

Shabu Shabu Prepared for the Next Buyer

Chef Chow’s Shabu-Shabu Express can be found in the food court of SM Taytay.  I haven”t been to other Shoe Mart mall lately but I will also check if there are other braches aside from this.  At first, I tried just for curiosity’s sake.  But the taste and the soup made me come back for more because it captured the “Panglasang Pinoy” ( Filipino taste preference).  It reminds me of the mami house but this one has a twist.  That is the reason why this food cart is always full of people waiting to be served.  Rapsa Bausa!!!

Lechon Liempo by Chic-Boy

Lechon Liempo

I have been hypnotized by this part of the pork that is liempo bacon slab).  This has always been my favorite.  We never run out of stock in our house.  There is this store in Taytay that serves liempo in a different way.  It is call Lechon Liempo of Chic-Boy.   Their liempo is grilled similar to lechon Manok but they have marinated it and stuffed it with tanglad (lemon grass).  Once you taste this, it will make you come back.  Very delicious!!! It reminds me of eating lechon in the Visayas where you can eat the lechon without the sauce.  Their style is different because the skin is almost like chicharon (cracking pork skin) and their sauce is a concoction of vinegar and chili. Different from the lechon manok store around that will give you sweet live sauce.

Barbeque – Grill Boy

  Â

We will always have a craving for barbeque which is available everywhere.  Grill Boy is just one of the barbeque house that I truly  appreciate.  They have a variety of grill to offer like pork barbeque, liempo, stuffed bagus ( milk fish), hito (cat fish).  I like it there because they have maintained a good quality of meat that they serve. Up to this days, when I go to Grill Boy almost every week, I still have the tender meat of liempo and pork barbeque just the same as what I got from last week.  There are many barbeque houses but this one I recommend not only to satisfy you grill craving but they are consistent to what they serve. Pag masarap ngayon, sigurado ko masarap padin sa susunod mo na pagbili!!!

Where to fine

Grill Boy is located along Ortigas Ave. Extension, Taytay. for the landmark, it is very near Tropical Hut Taytay and is beside Dunkin Donut. Â Â
