We Filipinos are also excellent pasta and pizza lovers even though it did not originate in our place. This is the same reason why my urges for pasta and pizza are always there. In Antipolo City, there is this special place that satisfied my craving. It is Qizia Café. They serve pasta, pizza, cakes, coffee and many more. This was referred to us by some parents in KCLC. My favorite was Pasta Aribbata. The spiciness and texture of the pasta made this special. It was like eating at a very expensive Italian restaurant inexpensively.

My daughter preferred Carbonara in Fettuccini since she like white sauce. It I also tasted good and the servicing is more than enough for one person. For our pizza, we chose four cheese pizza. It goes very well with the pasta and is the favorite of my kids since they don’t like pizza with the toppings. They prefer cheese only.

I was so amazed of the taste and price that Qizia café have that I decided to taste they clubhouse sandwich. It was also good but I prefer the pasta Aribbata better. I guess because my craving was really for the pasta and not for the sandwich.

Well, it was a good and hearty meal that my family just had and it is very near our place in Antipolo. What made it more exciting, their prices was very affordable.

Front fo Qizia Cafe
Qizia Café is located along L. Sumulong Memorial Road right just before Petron Station if you are coming from Rizal Provincial Capitol. Their first branch was in Marikina City. It was indeed a fat Sunday evening of dining and eating at Qizia Café. Definitely, we will be coming back for more.

Paella Mixta
I was last weekend that we had a stroll in a mall and right after which, we had a lunch in a fast food. I never thought that I will taste one of the best paella that I tasted. I was surprised that I found out that the Paella of Lydia’s Lechon was very tasty. It was supposedly Paella de Marisco ( Seafood Paella). But Lydia’s is known for their Lechon. With a mix of lechon, it turn out to be Paella Mixta( Mixed Paella). Never the less, it was something I would say perfecto!!!

Lydia's Lechon
Where to Find
The Paella of Lydia’s Lechon can be found in their outlets most of which are in SM fast food. For this, I had it at SM Marikina. It is located in the fastfood area 3 floor. When you visit and SM fastfood and you want to experience something Spanish, I suggest you visit Lydia’s Lechon and taste their wonderful Paella. Never forget that they also serve good lechon

Marikina

Marikina is known as the shoe capital of the Philippines. It brought also many culinary secrets. One of the best barbeque came from the bloodline of Kapitan Moy or Laureano Guevarawho is the father of the shoe industry in Marikina. He’s decendant is Leandro G. De Guzman ( Initial G. for Guevara) or Lean for short. His barbeque is worth tasting for its flavorful marinate and distinctive taste. I can’t help but I grabbed a beer to partner this barbeque experience. No wonder people just come and go to have an taste of his famous barbeque.

Rest in Peace Bro. Thanks for the great Barbeque.
Lean’s barbeque is easy to find because it is beside the San Roque church along V. Gomez, San Roque, Marikina City. It is a small barbeque stand along the entrance of the Guevara compound but it is no small stall for it caters plenty of people from 4:00pm to 9:00pm. After 9:00pm, it open down because they have no more barbeques to sell. The stall is between Guevara Flowershop and a pet shop. They also accept bulk orders. You may call him at (02)9039597 or (02)9435531.

In Rapsa we give high regard to humble stores or establishments that deliver the best culinary experience. When you visit Marikina, don’t forget to drop by Lean’s barbeque. Kahit tanghali tapat, rapsa sa beer!!!
